Alabama Auctions Daily Summary
Alabama livestock auctions that were held Wednesday September 04, 2013.

Cattle Receipts: 4,311   Last Week: 3,399   Last Year: 2,669

Compared to a week ago: Slaughter cows and bulls sold steady to 2.00 
higher. All feeder classes sold steady to 2.00 to 3.00 higher. 
Replacement cows and pairs sold steady to firm. Trade moderate with 
good demand on feeders. Slaughter cows made up 10 percent of the 
offerings, bulls 1 percent, replacement cows and pairs 8 percent, and 
feeders 81 percent. The feeder supply included 34 percent steers, 34 
percent heifers, and 32 percent bulls. Near 37 percent of the run 
weighed over 600 lbs.
