Alabama Auctions Daily Summary
Alabama livestock auctions that were held Thursday February 28, 2013.

Cattle Receipts: 1,154     Last Week: 1,690     Last Year: 1,525

Compared to a week ago: Slaughter cows and bulls sold steady to 2.00 
higher. All feeder classes sold steady to 3.00 lower. Trade moderate 
with moderate demand on feeders. Replacement cows and pairs sold 
steady to firm. Slaughter cows made up 11 percent of the offerings, 
bulls 2 percent, replacement cows and pairs 10 percent, and feeders 
78 percent. The feeder supply included 10 percent steers, 45 percent 
heifers, and 45 percent bulls. Near 16 percent of the run weighed 
over 600 lbs.
