Slaughter Sheep: Compared to last week, slaughter lambs weighing under
60 lbs sold mostly steady to 10.00 higher on good demand while lambs
weighing over 60 lbs sold mostly steady to 20.00 lower on a heavy supply.
Slaughter ewes and bucks sold mostly steady. Demand was good. Supply
consisted of 89 percent slaughter lambs, 10 percent slaughter ewes, and 1
percent slaughter bucks. All sheep and lambs are sold by the
hundredweight, on actual weights.

Slaughter Goats: Compared to last week, slaughter kids weighing under 60 lbs
sold mostly steady to 10.00 higher while those weighing over 60 lbs sold 10.00-
30.00 higher on better quality offerings and heavy supply. Slaughter nannies
sold mostly steady to 15.00 higher on overall better quality offerings. Bucks
sold 20.00-40.00 higher. Wethers sold mostly 10.00-30.00 higher compared to a
very light test last week. Demand was good despite the heavy supplies offered.
Supply consisted of 62 percent Slaughter Kids, 19 percent Slaughter Nannies,
and 19 percent bucks/billies and wethers. All goats are sold by the head on
estimated weights.
