Slaughter Sheep: Compared to last week, slaughter lambs sold mostly
5.00-20.00 higher on a lighter supply. Slaughter ewes sold unevenly
steady. Demand was good but slumped towards the end of the sale as buyers
filled their orders. Supply consisted of 81 percent slaughter lambs, 17
percent slaughter ewes, and 2 percent slaughter bucks. All sheep and lambs
are sold by the hundredweight, on actual weights.

Slaughter Goats: Compared to last week, slaughter kids sold mostly steady
to 5.00 higher. Some weakness was noted in wether kids. Slaughter nannies sold
mostly steady to 10.00 higher. Bucks sold mostly 10.00-20.00 higher and wethers
sold mostly steady to 20.00 higher on a very light test compared to a light test
last week. Supply consisted of 60 percent Slaughter Kids, 27 percent Slaughter
Nannies, and 13 percent bucks/billies and wethers. All goats are sold by the
head on estimated weights.
