that are subjected to USDA carcass grading, and marketed
through mainstream outlets. Non-Traditional markets refer to
lambs destined for slaughter outside of what would be termed
as traditional markets. ***

   Compared to last week, Slaughter lambs sold 10.00-20.00 lower
compared to a very light test last week. Demand was good. Slaughter
ewes sold mostly steady. Demand was moderate. This report does not
include mixed lots of sheep and lambs. Slaughter supply consisted
of 79 percent lambs, 13 percent slaughter ewes, and 8 percent
slaughter bucks. All sheep and lambs are destined for non-traditional
markets. All sheep and lambs are sold by the hundred weight, on actual
weights.

   Slaughter Lambs: Non-Traditional Markets: Wooled & Shorn Choice
and Prime 2-3  60-80 lbs hair sheep 232.00-270.00; 60-80 lbs 236.00-
252.00; 80-110 lbs 192.00-224.00; 80-110 lbs hair sheep 200.00-222.00;
110-120 lbs 200.00-210.00. Wooled and Shorn Choice and Prime 3-4 50-70
lbs 260.00-330.00. Wooled and Shorn Good and Choice 1-3 80-110 lbs
hair sheep 150.00-190.00; 90-110 lbs 150.00-180.00; 110-130 lbs

   Slaughter Ewes: Good 2-3 Medium Flesh 90-130 lbs hair sheep 137.00-
142.00; 130-150 lbs 120.00-142.00; 160-170 lbs 127.00-140.00. Utility
1-2 120-150 lbs 110.00-127.00; 160-180 lbs 100.00-120.00; 200-220 lbs
100.00-107.00. Cull 1-2 180-200 lbs 100.00-107.00.   

   Slaughter Bucks: 170-190 lbs 110.00-114.00; 210-250 lbs 77.00-107.00.
   
   Slaughter Goats: When compared to last week, Slaughter Kids sold
mostly steady to 20.00 higher compared to a very light test last week.
Demand was good. Nannies sold mostly 20.00-30.00 higher compared to
a very light test last week. Billies sold steady. Slaughter supply
consisted of 73 percent Slaughter Kids, 18 percent Slaughter Nannies,
and 9 percent bucks/billies and whethers. All goats are sold by the
head on estimated weights.
