subjected to USDA carcass grading, and marketed through mainstream outlets.
Non-Traditional markets refer to lambs destined for slaughter outside of
what would be termed as traditional markets. ***
Compared to last week, Slaughter Lambs sold mostly 50.00-60.00
lower on a light test. Slaughter Ewes sold mostly steady on a very
light test. Slaughter supply consisted of 78 percent lambs,
16 percent slaughter ewes, and 6 percent slaughter bucks. All sheep
and lambs are destined for non-traditional markets. All sheep and
lambs are sold by the hundred weight, on actual weights.
Slaughter Lambs: Non-Traditional Markets: Wooled & Shorn Choice and
Prime 2-3 50-60 lbs 210.00-225.00; 50-70 lbs hair sheep 194.00-216.00;
60-80 lbs 180.00-222.00; 70-80 lbs hair sheep 195.00-210.00; 80-110 lbs
197.00-230.00, hair sheep 208.00-222.00; 110-130 lbs 172.00-225.00.
Wooled and Shorn Good and Choice 1-3 40-50 lbs 157.00-202.00; 40-60 lbs
hair sheep 162.00-214.00; 60-70 lbs 197.00-208.00, hair sheep 170.00-

Slaughter Ewes: Good 2-3 Medium Flesh 110-120 lbs hair sheep 90.00-

84.00. Utility 1-2 Thin Flesh 110-120 lbs 60.00; 120-160 lbs 62.00,
hair sheep 72.00.
Slaughter Bucks: 160-200 lbs 86.00-94.00; 200-300 lbs 79.00-100.00.
Slaughter Goats: When compared to last week, slaughter kids sold
mostly 30.00-40.00 lower on a very light test. Demand was light.
Slaughter Nannies traded mostly 20.00-30.00 lower on a very light
test. Demand was light. Reported slaughter supply consisted of
72 percent Slaughter Kids, 21 percent Slaughter Nannies, and
7 percent bucks/billies and whethers. All goats are sold by the
head on estimated weights.
Slaughter Kids: Selection 1 50-60 lbs 137.00-182.00; 60-70 lbs
200.00. Selection 2 40-50 lbs 72.00-100.00; 50-60 lbs 100.00-127.00;
60-70 lbs 112.00-140.00; 80-90 lbs 137.00. Selection 3 40-50 lbs

Slaughter Nannies/Does: Selection 1 80-130 lbs 152.00-212.00.
