subjected to USDA carcass grading, and marketed through mainstream outlets.
Non-Traditional markets refer to lambs destined for slaughter outside of
what would be termed as traditional markets. ***
Compared to last week, Slaughter lambs sold mostly 10.00-20.00
lower. Demand was light. Slaughter ewes sold mostly steady. Demand
was moderate. Slaughter supply consisted of 80 percent lambs,
18 percent slaughter ewes and 2 percent slaughter bucks. All sheep
and lambs are destined for non-traditional markets. All sheep and
lambs are sold by the hundred weight, on actual weights.
Slaughter Lambs: Non-Traditional Markets: Wooled & Shorn Choice and
Prime 2-3 70-80 lbs 185.00-200.00, hair sheep 178.00-188.00; 80-90 lbs
184.00-185.00, hair sheep 180.00-190.00; 90-110 lbs 178.00-194.00;
110-120 lbs 185.00-214.00. Wooled and Shorn Good and Choice 1-3 40-60
lbs hair sheep 162.00-200.00; 50-60 lbs 177.00-200.00; 60-80 lbs hair
sheep 154.00-178.00; 70-80 lbs 177.00-185.00; 80-110 lbs 167.00-182.00,

Slaughter Goats: When compared to last week, slaughter kids sold
mostly firm. Demand was moderate. Nannies traded mostly 10.00-20.00
higher. Reported slaughter supply consisted of 60 percent Slaughter
Kids, 32 percent Slaughter Nannies, and 8 percent bucks/billies and
whethers. All Goats are sold by the head on estimated weights.

160.00-185.00; 80-110 lbs 160.00-200.00. Selection 2 40-60 lbs
112.00-137.00; 60-80 lbs 122.00-155.00; 80-110 lbs 140.00-162.00.
