Non-Traditional markets refer to lambs destined for slaughter outside of what
would be termed as traditional markets. ***
Compared to last week, Slaughter lambs sold mostly 10.00-20.00 lower.
Most movement on the lesser quality lambs as buyers waited for the better
lambs. Slaughter ewes mostly 10.00-20.00 lower. Demand was moderate.
Slaughter supply consisted of 77 percent lambs, 14 percent slaughter ewes
and 9 percent slaughter bucks. All sheep and lambs are destined for
non-traditional markets. All sheep and lambs are sold by the hundred
weight, on actual weights.

Slaughter Goats: When compared to last week, slaughter kids sold mostly
10.00-20.00 higher on good demand. Nannies traded mostly steady to 10.00
higher. Reported slaughter supply consisted of 60 percent Slaughter Kids,
26 percent Slaughter Nannies, and 14 percent bucks/billies and
whethers. All Goats are sold by the head on estimated weights.
