are subjected to USDA carcass grading, and marketed through
mainstream outlets. Non-Traditional markets refer to lambs
destined for slaughter outside of what would be termed as
traditional markets. ***

   Sheep and Lambs: Compared to last week, Slaughter lambs
traded mostly 10.00-20.00 lower. Slaughter ewes traded
mostly 10.00-20.00 lower. Slaughter supply consisted of
71 percent lambs, 23 percent slaughter ewes, and 6 percent
miscellaneous stock. All sheep and lambs are destined for
non-traditional markets. All sheep and lambs are sold by the
hundred weight, on actual weights.

   Slaughter Goats: When compared to last week, slaughter kid
goats sold mostly steady to 20.00 lower. Slaughter Nanny goats
sold mostly 20.00-40.00 lower. Slaughter Billies sold mostly
10.00-20.00 lower. Demand was moderate for all classes.
Overall quality not as good as previous week. Slaughter supply
consisted of 53 percent Slaughter Kids, 33 percent Slaughter
Nannies, and 14 percent bucks/billies and whethers. All Goats
are sold by the head on estimated weights.
