Sheep/Lamb Receipts: 1636    Last Monday: 2450    Year Ago: 1651

***Report format change: Traditional markets refer to lambs that are 
subjected to USDA carcass grading, and marketed through mainstream
outlets. Non-Traditional markets refer to lambs destined for slaughter
outside of what would be termed as traditional markets. ***

   Sheep and Lambs: When compared to last week, slaughter lambs
sold mostly 10.00-20.00 higher. Slaughter ewes traded steady to
10.00 higher. Demand was good for all classes. Slaughter supply
consisted of 73 percent lambs, 20 percent slaughter ewes, and
7 percent miscellaneous stock. All sheep and lambs are destined
for non-traditional markets. All sheep and lambs are sold by the
hundred weight,on actual weights.

   Slaughter Lambs: Non-Traditional Markets: Wooled & Shorn
Choice and Prime 3-4 40-60 lbs 200.00-202.00; 60-80 lbs 200.00-
206.00. Wooled and Shorn Choice and Prime 2-3 40-60 lbs hair
sheep 162.00-180.00; 60-80 lbs 156.00-184.00; 80-110 lbs
154.00-184.00, hair sheep 150.00-177.00; 110-140 lbs 162.00-
184.00; 150-160 lbs 158.00-164.00. Wooled and Shorn Good and
Choice 1-3 40-60 lbs hair sheep 144.00-152.00; 50-60 lbs

   Slaughter Ewes: Good 2-3 Medium Flesh 90-140 lbs hair sheep

Utility 1-2 Thin Flesh 120-160 lbs 40.00-52.00; 160-200 lbs

   Slaughter Bucks: 110-150 lbs hair sheep 68.00-84.00; 150-190
lbs 54.00-76.00; 170-180 lbs hair sheep 50.00-88.00; 200-250 lbs

   Slaughter Goats: When compared to last week, slaughter kid
goats sold mostly steady to 10.00 higher. Slaughter Nanny goats
sold mostly steady to 10.00 lower. Slaughter billies sold 
10.00-20.00 higher. Demand was good for all classes. Slaughter
supply consisted of 46 percent Slaughter Kids, 42 percent
Slaughter Nannies, and 12 percent bucks/billies and wethers.
All Goats are sold by the head on estimated weights.
          
    Slaughter Kids: Selection 1  40-60 lbs 124.00-166.00; 60-80
lbs 160.00-178.00; 90-100 lbs 170.00-197.00. Selection 2 40-60
lbs 85.00-100.00; 60-80 lbs 130.00-152.00; 80-100 lbs 132.00-
160.00. Selection 3 40-60 lbs 57.00-85.00; 60-80 lbs 56.00-76.00;
80-90 lbs 66.00-90.00.   

    Slaughter Nannies/Does: Selection 1 100-125 lbs 140.00-164.00;
130-150 lbs 120.00-164.00. Selection 2  100-125 lbs 122.00-142.00.
