Compared to last week, slaughter steers sold mostly steady to 1.00
lower. Demand moderate. Unconventional Steers are steers sold primarily
to the ethnic market. Today those steers sold 3.00-4.00 lower. Demand
light. Slaughter Holstein steers sold 1.00-2.00 higher compared to a very
light test last week. Slaughter heifers not tested. Breaking cows sold
3.00-4.00 higher on good demand. Boning and Lean cows sold steady to 1.00
higher on good demand. Slaughter bulls sold mostly 1.00-2.00 lower on a
light test. Cattle supplies included 180 steers; 68 heifers; 519 cows;
36 bulls; and 76 feeder calves. All prices per cwt.
Slaughter Steers: High Choice and Prime 3-4 1425-1625 lbs few 124.00-
126.00. Choice 2-3 1325-1600 lbs 117.50-122.00. Select 2-3 1150-1225 lbs
113.00-118.00. Unconventional steers 1300-1750 lbs 118.00-130.00, mostly
120.00-126.00.
Slaughter Holsteins: High Choice and Prime 3-4 1425-1650 lbs few
86.00-94.00. Choice 2-3 1350-1550 lbs 80.00-84.00. Select 1-2 1325-1650
lbs 74.00-79.00.

Return to Farm Holstein Calves: Compared to last week, Number 1 and
2 Holstein Bull calves traded steady to 20.00 lower. Number 3 and Utility
Bull calves weighing 70-100 lbs traded 20.00-40.00 higher while those
weighing over 100 lbs and under 70 lbs traded steady to 10.00 higher.
Holstein Heifer calves mostly steady on another light test. Ag Market
News LLC under the USDA-QSA-LMAR program graded 365 head for Thursday's
sale. All calves are sold by the cwt.
Graded Holstein Bull Calves: Number 1 120-130 lbs 95.00; 100-118 lbs
115.00-120.00. Number 2 94-128 lbs 107.00-127.00; 80-92 lbs 77.00-80.00.
Number 3 80-130 lbs 75.00-97.00; 74-78 lbs 30.00. Utility 100-130 lbs
40.00-50.00; 80-98 lbs 65.00-82.00; 60-78 lbs 15.00.
Holstein Heifer Calves: Number 1 80-100 lbs few 35.00-45.00. Number 2
80-100 lbs 20.00-35.00. Number 3 70-100 lbs 15.00-25.00. Utility/Non-
tubing 60-90 lbs lbs 10.00-15.00.
