Compared to last week, slaughter steers sold 3.00-4.00 higher.
Demand good. Ethnic Steers are steers sold primarily to the ethnic
market. Today those steers sold 1.00-2.00 higher on moderate demand.
Slaughter Holstein steers sold 1.00-2.00 higher on a light test.
Slaughter heifers sold 4.00-5.00 higher on another very light test.
Slaughter cows sold 5.00-6.00 higher on very good demand. Slaughter
bulls sold 3.00-4.00 lower on a light test. Cattle supplies included
142 steers; 62 heifers; 515 cows; 29 bulls; and 49 feeder calves.

Slaughter Steers: High Choice and Prime 3-4 1525-1600 lbs few 118.00-
120.00. Choice 2-3 1300-1650 lbs 113.00-116.50. Select 2-3 1200-1650
lbs 107.50-112.50. Ethnic steers 1300-1850 lbs 111.00-123.00, mostly
113.00-118.00.
Slaughter Holsteins: Choice 2-3 1450-1700 lbs few 82.00-84.50.
Select 1-2 1450-1600 lbs few 78.00-80.50.
Slaughter Heifers: High Choice and Prime 3-4 1250-1300 lbs few
113.00-114.00. Choice 2-3 1150-1450 lbs few 110.00-112.00. Select 1-2

Bull Calves sold mostly steady to 30.00 lower with the exception of calves
weighing 90-110 lbs selling 30.00-60.00 lower. Demand light to moderate.
Holstein Heifer Calves steady to 10.00 higher on another light test.
Ag Market News LLC under the USDA-QSA-LMAR program graded 477 head for
Thursday's sale. All calves are sold by the cwt.
Graded Holstein Bull Calves: Number 1 100-130 lbs 45.00-60.00. Number 2
80-128 lbs 30.00-47.00. Number 3 80-130 lbs 25.00-33.00; 60-78 lbs 10.00.
Utility 60-130 lbs 10.00-20.00.
Holstein Heifer Calves: Number 1 80-120 lbs 25.00-40.00. Number 2 80-
110 lbs 15.00-30.00. Number 3 70-100 lbs 10.00-20.00. Utility/Non-tubing
