Compared to last week, not enough Slaughter steers sold to conventional
buyers for a market test. Strong demand for ethnic based slaughter drove
the market. Demand moderate. Standard high-dressing lean steers destined
for ethnic based slaughter sold 5.00-10.00 higher on good demand. Holstein
steers mostly steady on another light test. Slaughter heifers steady to
1.00 higher on a light test. Slaughter cows sold mostly 3.00-5.00 higher.
Slaughter bulls sold firm compared to a light test. Cattle supplies
included 137 steers; 142 heifers; 486 cows; 35 bulls; and 78 feeder calves.

Slaughter Steers: High Choice and Prime 3-4 1500-1850 lbs 122.00-
128.00 (Non-conventional). Choice 2-3 1350-1750 lbs 114.00-121.00

Bull Calves sold mostly steady to 20.00 higher with instances of 30.00-
50.00 higher in Number 3 calves weighing over 90 lbs. Holstein Heifer
calves traded mostly steady on another light test. Demand light to
moderate. Ag Market News LLC under the USDA-QSA-LMAR program graded 453
head for Thursday's sale. All calves are sold by the cwt.

106-128 lbs lbs 82.00-87.00; 94-104 lbs 97.00-102.00; 88-92 lbs 85.00; 80-
