Demand good. High dressing Lean Steers are steers sold primarily to
the ethnic market. These steers sold 1.00-2.00 higher. Demand good.
Slaughter Holstein steers sold steady to firm on a very light test.
Slaughter heifers sold steady on a light test. Slaughter cows sold
1.00-2.00 higher. Demand moderate. Not enough Slaughter bulls last
week for a comparison. Cattle supplies included 218 steers;
52 heifers; 349 cows; 30 bulls; and 30 feeder calves. All prices
per cwt.
Slaughter Steers: High Choice and Prime 3-4 1425-1600 lbs 109.00-
114.00. Choice 2-3 1350-1700 lbs 104.50-109.00. Select 1-2 1200-1625
lbs 98.00-104.50. High Dressing Lean Steers 1200-1700 lbs 103.00-118.00,
mostly 106.00-111.00, few 123.00-126.00.
Slaughter Holsteins: High Choice and Prime 3-4 1485 lbs individual

QSA-LMAR program graded 343 head for Thursday's sale. All calves are sold
by the cwt.
Graded Holstein Bull Calves: Number 1 90-124 lbs 60.00-75.00. Number 2
94-128 lbs 60.00-70.00; 80-92 lbs 40.00-50.00. Number 3 90-130 lbs 35.00;
60-88 lbs 20.00-25.00. Utility 60-130 lbs 11.00-25.00.
