Compared to last week, Slaughter steers sold 1.00-2.00 higher on
a light test. Demand good. High dressing Lean Steers are steers sold
primarily to the ethnic market. Not enough of these steers last week
for a comparison. Slaughter Holstein steers sold 1.00-2.00 higher on
compared to a light test last week. Slaughter heifers sold steady to
1.00 higher on a light test. Slaughter cows sold mostly steady.
Demand moderate. Slaughter bulls sold 2.00-3.00 higher on a light
test. Demand moderate. Cattle supplies included 183 steers; 56 heifers;
489 cows; 35 bulls; and 51 feeder calves. All prices per cwt.
Slaughter Steers: High Choice and Prime 3-4 1500-1675 lbs few
113.00-114.00. Choice 2-3 1200-1675 lbs 104.00-109.00. Select 1-2
1200-1625 lbs 95.50-104.00. High Dressing Lean Steers 1300-1700 lbs

Return to Farm Holstein Calves: Compared to last week, Graded Holstein
bull calves sold mostly 20.00-40.00 lower. Holstein heifer calves steady
on another light test. Ag Market News LLC under the USDA-QSA-LMAR program
graded 424 head for Thursday's sale. All calves are sold by the cwt.
Graded Holstein Bull Calves: Number 1 100-118 lbs 85.00-87.00; 90-98
lbs 55.00. Number 2 94-118 lbs 65.00-77.00; 80-92 lbs 45.00-50.00. Number
3 80-130 lbs 37.00-48.00; 60-78 lbs 26.00. Utility 60-130 lbs 20.00-37.00.
Holstein Heifer Calves: Number 2 80-110 lbs 30.00-40.00. Number 3 70-
100 lbs 20.00-30.00. Utility/Non-tubing 50-90 lbs 11.00-25.00.
