Compared to last week, Slaughter steers sold mostly steady to firm.
Demand good. High dressing Lean Steers are steers sold primarily to the
ethnic market and most are extremely lean. Those steers sold steady on
moderate demand. Not enough Slaughter Holstein steers for a market test.
Not enough Slaughter heifers for a market test. Slaughter cows sold
mostly steady. Demand moderate. Slaughter bulls sold steady on a very
light test. Cattle supplies included 222 steers; 84 heifers; 397 cows;
95 bulls; and 141 feeder calves. All prices per cwt.
Slaughter Steers: High Choice and Prime 3-4 1250-1650 lbs 105.00-
111.50. Choice 2-3 1250-1550 lbs 104.00-108.50. Select 1-2 1000-1400
lbs 101.00-104.00. High Dressing Lean Steers 1250-1750 lbs 104.00-115.00.
Slaughter Holsteins: Choice 1-2 1400-1725 lbs few 80.00-84.00.

bull calves sold mostly steady to 20.00 lower. Holstein heifer calves
traded steady to firm on a light test and limited comparable receipts.

Thursday's sale. All calves are sold by the cwt.

106-118 lbs 60.00-70.00; 94-104 lbs 80.00-80.00; 88-92 lbs 60.00-62.00; 80-
