Compared to last week, Slaughter steers sold 2.00-3.00 higher on a
very light test. Demand good. High dressing Lean Steers are steers sold
primarily to the ethnic market and most are extremely lean. Those steers
sold 3.00-4.00 higher on a light test. Demand good. Slaughter Holstein
steers sold 1.00-2.00 higher on a very light test. Slaughter heifers
sold 1.00-2.00 higher on a very light test. Demand moderate. Slaughter
cows sold steady to 1.00 higher. Demand good. Slaughter bulls sold
mostly steady on another very light test. Cattle supplies included
165 steers; 89 heifers; 424 cows; 32 bulls; and 30 feeder calves.

Slaughter Steers: High Choice and Prime 3-4 1250-1550 lbs 116.50-
119.50. Choice 2-3 1175-1600 lbs 111.00-115.50. Select 1-2 1400-
1425 lbs few 108.00-112.00. High Dressing Lean Steers 1300-1700 lbs
110.00-123.00, few 126.00-127.00.

for Thursday's sale. All calves are sold by the cwt.
Graded Holstein Bull Calves: Number 1 90-130 lbs 70.00-80.00; 82 lb
individual 50.00. Number 2 88-128 lbs 60.00-70.00; 80-86 lbs 50.00. Number
3 90-130 lbs 55.00-57.00; 60-88 lbs 30.00-40.00. Utility 60-130 lbs 20.00-
40.00.
Holstein Heifer Calves: Number 1 80-120 lbs few 80.00-100.00. Number 2
80-120 lbs 50.00-80.00. Number 3 80-110 lbs 30.00-45.00. Utility/Non-
tubing 90-110 lbs 35.00-60.00; 50-80 lbs 15.00-25.00.
