Compared to last week, Slaughter steers sold mostly steady.
Demand good. High dressing Lean Steers are steers sold primarily
to the ethnic market and most are extremely lean. Those steers
sold 2.00-3.00 lower on a light test. Demand moderate. Slaughter
Holstein steers sold mostly steady. Slaughter heifers sold steady
to 1.00 lower on a very light test. Demand moderate. Slaughter cows
sold steady to 1.00 higher. Demand good. Slaughter bulls sold firm
on a very light test. Cattle supplies included 211 steers;
167 heifers; 262 cows; 34 bulls; and 43 feeder calves. All prices
per cwt.
Slaughter Steers: High Choice and Prime 3-4 1375-1625 lbs 117.50-
121.00. Choice 2-3 1275-1650 lbs 114.50-118.00. Select 1-2 1250-1550
lbs 110.00-114.00. High Dressing Lean Steers 1300-1850 lbs 113.00-

program graded 252 head for Thursday's sale. All calves are sold by the cwt.
Graded Holstein Bull Calves: Number 1 98-124 lbs 110.00. Number 2
94-128 lbs 100.00-131.00; 80-92 lbs 60.00-80.00. Number 3 100-130 lbs
80.00; 80-98 lbs 50.00-60.00; 78 lbs 35.00. Utility 90-130 lbs 40.00-
60.00; 60-88 lbs 25.00-30.00.
Holstein Heifer Calves: Number 1 80-100 lbs few 75.00-80.00. Number 2
