Compared to last week, Slaughter steers sold 3.00-4.00 lower compared
to a light test last week. Demand good. High dressing Lean Steers are
steers sold primarily to the ethnic market and most are extremely lean.
Those steers sold 4.00-5.00 lower on a light test. Demand moderate.
Slaughter Holstein steers sold 2.00-3.00 higher compared to a very light
test last week. Not enough Slaughter heifers last week for a comparison.
Steady undertone noted. Demand moderate. Slaughter cows sold 8.00-10.00
lower on a large supply. Demand moderate. Not enough Slaughter bulls for
a market test. Cattle supplies included 171 steers; 93 heifers; 548 cows;
19 bulls; and 13 feeder calves. All prices per cwt.

Return to Farm Holstein Calves: Compared to last week, Graded Holstein
bull calves sold mixed with Number 1 and 2 calves selling 20.00-50.00 lower
and Number 3 and Utility calves selling steady to 10.00 lower. Holstein
heifer calves sold steady to 20.00 higher. Ag Market News LLC under the
USDA-QSA-LMAR program graded 324 head for Thursday's sale. All calves are
sold by the cwt.
Graded Holstein Bull Calves: Number 1 102-130 lbs 100.00-112.00.
Number 2 112-128 lbs 102.00-107.00; 88-110 lbs 118.00-135.00; 80-86 lbs
100.00. Number 3 80-130 lbs 87.00-107.00; 72-78 lbs 60.00. Utility 80-110
lbs 40.00-52.00; 60-78 lbs 15.00.
Holstein Heifer Calves: Number 1 80-110 lbs few 90.00-110.00. Number 2
