Compared to last week, Slaughter steers sold 3.00-4.00 lower on a
light test. Demand good. High dressing Lean Steers are steers sold
primarily to the ethnic market and most are extremely lean. Those
steers sold 3.00-4.00 lower on a light test. Demand moderate. Slaughter
Holstein steers sold 2.00-3.00 lower on a very light test. Not enough
Slaughter heifers for a market test. Demand moderate. Slaughter cows
sold steady. Demand good. Slaughter bulls sold mostly steady on another
very light test. Cattle supplies included 156 steers; 73 heifers;
444 cows; 17 bulls; and 3 feeder calves. All prices per cwt.

126.50. Choice 2-3 1350-1600 lbs 119.00-123.50; few 1700-1800 lbs

Return to Farm Holstein Calves: Compared to last week, Graded Holstein
bull calves sold 40.00-50.00 higher. Holstein heifer calves sold steady
to 10.00 lower compared to a light test last week. Ag Market News LLC under
the USDA-QSA-LMAR program graded 371 head for Thursday's sale. All calves
are sold by the cwt.
Graded Holstein Bull Calves: Number 1 120-130 lbs 127.00; 94-118 lbs
150.00-167.00. Number 2 120-128 lbs 140.00; 88-118 lbs 160.00-187.00;
80-86 lbs 150.00. Number 3 80-130 lbs 80.00-105.00; 72-78 lbs 75.00.
Utility 80-110 lbs 50.00-55.00; 66 lbs 20.00.
Holstein Heifer Calves: Number 1 90-105 lbs few 70.00-90.00.
