Compared to last week, Slaughter steers sold mostly 1.00-2.00 higher.
Demand good. High dressing Lean Steers are steers sold primarily to the
ethnic market and most are extremely lean. Those steers sold 3.00-4.00
higher compared to a light test last week. Slaughter Holstein steers
sold 1.00-2.00 lower on moderate demand. Not enough Slaughter heifers
last week for a comparison. Firm undertone noted. Breaking and Boning
Slaughter cows sold 3.00-4.00 higher. Lean cows sold mostly steady.
Demand good. Slaughter bulls sold 5.00-6.00 higher on a light test.
Cattle supplies included 197 steers; 187 heifers; 445 cows; 54 bulls;
and 15 feeder calves. All prices per cwt.

123.50. Choice 2-3 1450-1600 lbs 115.00-117.00. Select 1-2 1300-1550

Return to Farm Holstein Calves: Compared to last week, Graded Holstein
bull calves sold mostly 5.00-15.00 lower. Holstein heifer calves sold
mostly steady on another light test. Ag Market News LLC under the USDA-
QSA-LMAR program graded 486 head for Thursday's sale. All calves are sold
by the cwt.
Graded Holstein Bull Calves: Number 1 120-130 lbs 85.00; 90-118 lbs
95.00-102.00. Number 2 112-128 lbs 85.00-95.00; 88-110 lbs 100.00-107.00;
80-86 lbs 60.00. Number 3 90-130 lbs 72.00-87.00; 80-88 lbs 45.00-55.00;
72-78 lbs 25.00. Utility 80-110 lbs 30.00-35.00; 60-78 lbs 15.00.
