   Compared to last week, Slaughter steers sold mostly steady. Demand
was good. High dressing Lean Steers are steers sold primarily to the
ethnic market and most are extremely lean. Those steers sold 1.00-2.00
lower on light demand. Slaughter Holstein steers sold 1.00-2.00 higher
compared to a light test last week. Slaughter heifers sold steady on a
good. Slaughter cows sold 1.00-2.00 lower. Demand moderate. Slaughter
bulls mostly steady on a very light test. Cattle supplies included
280 steers; 76 heifers; 395 cows; 35 bulls; and 14 feeder calves.

   Return to Farm Holstein Calves: Compared to last week, Graded Holstein 
bull calves sold mixed with Number 1 and 2 calves selling 20.00-40.00 lower, 
Number 3 calves selling 10.00-20.00 lower, and Utility calves selling firm. 
Holstein heifer calves sold steady to 20.00 higher on a light test compared 
to a very light test. Ag Market News LLC under the USDA-QSA-LMAR program 
graded 309 head for Thursday's sale. All calves are sold by the cwt.
