Compared to last week, Slaughter steers sold 4.00-5.00 higher.
High dressing Lean Steers are steers sold primarily to the ethnic
market and most are extremely lean. Those steers sold mostly 1.00-3.00
higher. Slaughter Holstein steers sold sharply lower on limited
comparable sales. Slaughter heifers traded steady to 2.00 higher.
Slaughter cows sold mostly steady to 1.00 lower. Not enough Slaughter
bulls last week for a comparison. Demand was moderate. Cattle supplies
included 189 steers; 63 heifers; 438 cows; 19 bulls; and 36 feeder
calves. All prices per cwt.

133.00. Choice 2-3 1255-1650 lbs 123.50-127.50. Select 1-2 1120-1510

Return to Farm Holstein Calves: Compared to last week, Graded Holstein
bull calves sold mostly 15.00-20.00 higher on good demand. Holstein heifer
calves sold 30.00-40.00 lower. Ag Market News LLC under the USDA-QSA-LMAR
program graded 400 head for Thursday's sale. All calves are sold by the
cwt.
Graded Holstein Bull Calves: Number 1 120-128 lbs 111.00; 94-112 lbs
130.00-140.00. Number 2 120-128 lbs 111.00; 94-118 lbs 130.00-142.00;
Number 3 72-130 lbs 70.00-98.00. Utility 80-110 lbs 40.00-65.00; 60-78
lbs 20.00.
Holstein Heifer Calves: Number 1 90-95 lbs few 200.00-240.00.
