Compared to last week, slaughter steers sold mostly 1.00-3.00 lower.
High dressing Lean Steers are steers are sold primarily to the ethnic
market and most are extremely lean. Those steers sold mostly steady.
Slaughter Holstein steers sold mostly 1.00-2.00 lower. Slaughter heifers
not tested last week so no comparison this week. Demand was moderate for
all classes. Breaking and Boning Slaughter cows sold mostly steady while
Lean cows sold 2.00-4.00 lower. Demand was moderate. Slaughter bulls
sold 2.00-5.00 lower. Cattle supplies included 177 steers; 21 heifers;
367 cows; 23 bulls; and 6 feeder calves. All prices per cwt.
Slaughter Steers: High Choice and Prime 3-4 1250-1600 lbs 112.00-
115.50, few to 120.00. Choice 2-3 1250-1600 lbs 108.00-112.00. Select
1-2 1150-1500 lbs 102.00-107.00. High Dressing Lean Steers 1100-1700 lbs
few 109.00-117.00, few 123.00-125.00.
Slaughter Holsteins: High Choice and Prime 3-4 1200-1600 lbs 100.00-
103.50. Choice 2-3 1200-1600 lbs 95.00-101.00. Select 1-2 1200-1600 lbs

program graded 428 head for Thursday's sale. All calves are sold by the
cwt.
Graded Holstein Bull Calves: Number 1 90-128 lbs 122.00-142.00; 80-
88 lbs 110.00. Number 2 80-128 lbs 110.00-131.00. Number 3 80-130
lbs 100.00-112.00; 72-78 lbs 70.00. Utility 60-110 lbs 62.00-90.00.
Holstein Heifer Calves: Number 1 80-90 lbs 230.00-250.00. Number 2
