Compared to last week, Choice and Select slaughter steers sold mostly
steady to 1.00 higher while High Choice and Prime steers sold 2.00-4.00
higher on good demand. High dressing Lean Steers are steers are sold
primarily to the ethnic market and most are extremely lean. Those steers
sold mostly steady. Slaughter Holstein steers sold mostly steady to 1.00
lower on a light test. Slaughter heifers traded steady on a light test.
Demand was moderate to good for all classes. Slaughter cows sold mostly
steady to 1.00 higher. Demand was moderate. Slaughter bulls sold steady
to 1.00 higher on a light test. Cattle supplies included 212 steers; 45
heifers; 355 cows; 15 bulls; and 19 feeder calves. All prices per cwt.
Slaughter Steers: High Choice and Prime 3-4 1350-1700 lbs 119.50-
125.50. Choice 2-3 1250-1700 lbs 115.00-119.00. Select 1-2 1100-1500
lbs 110.00-115.50. High Dressing Lean Steers 1100-1700 lbs few 116.00-

Return to Farm Holstein Calves: Compared to last week, Holstein bull
calves sold mostly 10.00 higher. Holstein heifer calves not tested last
week so no comparison this week. Demand was moderate. Ag Market News LLC
under the USDA-QSA-LMAR program graded 492 head for Thursday's sale. All
calves are sold by the cwt.
Graded Holstein Bull Calves: Number 1 106-128 lbs 111.00-117.00; 80-
104 lbs 120.00-128.00. Number 2 106-128 lbs 100.00-111.00; 80-104 lbs
115.00-120.00. Number 3 100-130 lbs 87.00-92.00; 80-98 lbs 105.00-112.00;
72-78 lbs 95.00. Utility 60-110 lbs 70.00-92.00.
Holstein Heifer Calves: Number 1 80-100 lbs 220.00-280.00. Number 2
