Compared to last week, Slaughter steers sold mostly 1.00-3.00 higher.
High dressing Lean Steers are steers are sold primarily to the ethnic
market and most are extremely lean. Those steers sold mostly 1.00-3.00
higher on a light test. Slaughter Holstein steers sold mostly 1.00-3.00
higher on a light test. Slaughter heifers not tested last week but a firm
undertone was noted on a light test. Demand was moderate for all classes.
Slaughter cows sold 2.00-3.00 higher. Demand was moderate. Slaughter bulls
sold weak on a very light test. Cattle supplies included 185 steers; 40
heifers; 286 cows; 16 bulls; and 79 feeder calves. All prices per cwt.
Slaughter Steers: High Choice and Prime 3-4 1200-1600 lbs 116.50-
123.50, individual 124.50. Choice 2-3 1200-1600 lbs 114.00-118.00.
Select 1-2 1200-1600 lbs 110.00-115.50. High Dressing Lean Steers 1100-
1700 lbs few 115.00-122.00.

Return to Farm Holstein Calves: Compared to last week, Graded Holstein
bull calves sold mostly steady to 10.00 lower. Holstein heifer calves sold
mostly steady to 10.00 lower. Demand was moderate. Ag Market News LLC under
the USDA-QSA-LMAR program graded 427 head for Thursday's sale. All calves
are sold by the cwt.
Graded Holstein Bull Calves: Number 1 90-128 lbs 115.00-142.00. Number
2 80-118 lbs 110.00-130.00. Number 3 72-130 lbs 100.00-122.00. Utility
60-110 lbs 85.00-100.00.
Holstein Heifer Calves: Number 1 80-120 lbs 175.00-190.00. Number 2
80-100 lbs 140.00-175.00. Non-tubing/Utility 60-100 lbs 40.00-85.00.
