Compared to last week, Slaughter steers sold mostly 3.00-4.00 lower.
High dressing Lean Steers are steers sold primarily to the ethnic market
and most are extremely lean. Those steers sold 4.00-5.00 lower on very
light demand. Slaughter Holstein steers sold 3.00-4.00 lower. Slaughter
heifers sold 4.00-5.00 lower. Demand was moderate. Slaughter cows sold
mostly 2.00-3.00 lower. Demand was moderate. Slaughter bulls sold mostly
1.00-2.00 lower. Cattle supplies included 264 steers; 48 heifers;
313 cows; 20 bulls; and 21 feeder calves. All prices per cwt.

Return to Farm Holstein Calves: Compared to last week, Holstein bull
calves sold 50.00-60.00 lower. Holstein heifer calves sold 20.00-30.00
higher on a light test. Demand was moderate. Ag Market News LLC under the
USDA-QSA-LMAR program graded 390 head for Thursday's sale. All calves are
sold by the cwt.
Graded Holstein Bull Calves: Number 1 92-128 lbs 175.00-200.00.
Number 2 80-128 lbs 150.00-175.00. Number 3 100-130 lbs 125.00-135.00;
72-98 lbs 140.00-163.00. Utility 90-110 lbs 70.00-70.00; 80-88 lbs 40.00;
60-78 lbs 80.00.
Holstein Heifer Calves: Number 1 80-105 lbs 260.00-310.00, couple
315.00-335.00. Number 2 75-120 lbs 200.00-250.00. Non-tubing/Utility
