Compared to last week, slaughter steers sold mostly steady. High
dressing Lean Steers are steers sold primarily to the ethnic market and
most are extremely lean. Those steers sold mostly steady to 2.00 lower.
Slaughter Holstein steers sold mostly steady to 2.00 higher. Slaughter
heifers sold mostly steady to 1.00 higher. Demand was good. Slaughter
cows sold steady to 1.00 lower. Demand was moderate. Slaughter bulls
sold mostly 2.00-4.00 higher compared to a light test last week. Demand
was moderate. Cattle supplies included 207 steers; 68 heifers; 355 cows;
29 bulls; and 37 feeder calves. All prices per cwt.
Slaughter Steers: High Choice and Prime 3-4 1300-1600 lbs 132.50-
136.00. Choice 2-3 1300-1600 lbs 129.00-132.50. Select 1-2 1200-1600
lbs 125.00-128.50. High Dressing Lean Steers 127.00-136.00.

Return to Farm Holstein Calves: Compared to last week, Holstein bull
calves sold 5.00-10.00 lower. Holstein heifer calves sold mostly steady
to 10.00 higher. Demand was moderate. Buyer attendance was good. Ag Market
News LLC under the USDA-QSA-LMAR program graded 434 head for Thursday's
sale. All calves are sold by the cwt.
Graded Holstein Bull Calves: Number 1 114-128 lbs 195.00-210.00; 106-
112 lbs 222.00-230.00; 90-104 lbs 245.00-250.00. Number 2 120-128 lbs
187.00; 94-118 lbs 207.00-227.00; 80-92 lbs 235.00-237.00. Number 3
80-130 lbs 180.00-197.00; 72-78 lbs 207.00. Utility 100-110 lbs 140.00;
80-98 lbs 185.00-197.00; 60-78 lbs 232.00.
Holstein Heifer Calves: Number 1 65-115 lbs 240.00-295.00, individual
