Compared to last week, Slaughter steers sold mostly 1.00-2.00 lower.
There were a large number of steers weighing over 1600 lbs on offer today.
These heavy steers brought a 5.00-10.00 discount. High dressing Lean
Steers are steers sold primarily to the ethnic market and most are
extremely lean. Today these steers sold mostly steady. Slaughter Holstein
steers sold mostly steady to 2.00 lower on a light test. Slaughter Heifers
sold mostly 2.00-3.00 lower on a light test. Demand was moderate for all
classes. Slaughter cows sold mostly 3.00-4.00 lower. Demand was moderate.
Slaughter bulls sold mostly steady to 3.00 lower. Demand was moderate.
Cattle supplies included 245 steers; 99 heifers; 390 cows; 25 bulls; and
35 feeder calves. All prices per cwt.

128.50. Choice 2-3 1200-1600 lbs 123.50-127.00; 1600-1800 lbs 116.00-

Return to Farm Holstein Calves: Compared to last week, Graded Holstein
bull calves sold mostly 70.00-130.00 lower. Demand was moderate. Holstein
heifer calves sold 20.00-50.00 lower. Ag Market News LLC under the USDA-
QSA-LMAR program graded 476 head for Thursday's sale. All calves are sold
by the cwt.
Graded Holstein Bull Calves: Number 1 120-128 lbs 297.00; 102-118 lbs
317.00-322.00; 94-100 lbs 290.00-300.00. Number 2 106-128 lbs 255.00-
270.00; 98-104 lbs 225.00-247.00; 80-96 lbs 247.00-267.00. Number 3 100-
130 lbs 195.00-230.00; 90-98 lbs 237.00-242.00; 80-88 lbs 267.00-280.00;
