Compared to last week, Slaughter steers sold mostly 3.00-5.00 higher
on better quality offerings. High dressing Lean Steers are steers sold
primarily to the ethnic market and most are extremely lean. Today these
steers sold sharply higher. Slaughter Holstein steers sold mostly 4.00-
5.00 higher on better quality offerings. Slaughter heifers sold mostly
2.00-3.00 higher on a light test. Demand was good for all classes.
Slaughter cows sold mostly 2.00-3.00 lower. Demand was moderate.
Slaughter bulls sold mostly steady on a light test. Demand was moderate.
Cattle supplies included 266 steers; 60 heifers; 354 cows; 28 bulls; and
9 feeder calves. All prices per cwt.

128.00, 1600-1850 lbs 119.50-125.50. Choice 2-3 1200-1600 lbs 122.00-

Return to Farm Holstein Calves: Compared to last week, Graded Holstein
bull calves sold mostly 75.00-100.00 higher. Demand was good. Holstein
heifer calves sold 10.00-20.00 higher. Ag Market News LLC under the USDA-
QSA-LMAR program graded 468 head for Thursday's sale. All calves are sold
by the cwt.
