   Compared to last week, Slaughter steers sold mostly 2.00-3.00 higher
with good demand. Slaughter Holstein steers sold mostly steady with 
moderate demand. No comparison for slaughter heifers but a firm undertone
was noted. Slaughter cows sold mostly 2.00-3.00 higher. Demand was very
good. Cattle supplies included 310 steers; 80 heifers; 486 cows; 32 bulls;
and 38 feeder calves. All prices per cwt.

   Slaughter Steers: High Choice and Prime 3-4  1350-1550 lbs 163.25-
165.00, individual 166.00; Choice 2-3  1300-1650 lbs 160.00-163.00; 
Select 1-3  1300-1700 lbs 156.00-159.00.

   Slaughter Holsteins: High Choice and Prime 3-4 1350-1750 lbs 149.00-
153.50, individual 156.00; Choice 2-3  1300-1650 lbs 145.0-147.00. Select 
1-2 1300-1700 lbs 135.00-143.00.

   Slaughter Heifers:  High Choice and Prime 3-4  1100-1450 lbs 164.00-
165.00; Choice 2-3 1250-1350 lbs 158.00-160.00; Select 1-2 1000-1300 lbs

   Return to Farm Holstein Calves: Compared to last week, Holstein bull
calves sold mostly steady to 50.00 higher. Demand was good. Holstein 
heifer calves sold mostly 30.00-50.00 higher. Ag Market News LLC under the 
USDA-QSA-LMAR program graded 517 head for Thursday's sale. All calves are 
sold by the cwt. 

   Graded Holstein Bull Calves: Number 1  120-128 lbs 482.00; 110-118 lbs 
510.00-530.00; 98-108 lbs 550.00-567.00; 90-96 lbs 615.00-625.00. Number 2
120-128 lbs 460.00; 106-118 lbs 480.00-497.00; 88-104 lbs 530.00-565.00; 80-
86 lbs 615.00. Number 3  100-130 lbs 487.00-490.00; 72-98 lbs 537.00-550.00. 
Utility 100-130 lbs 385.00; 80-98 lbs 430.00-470.00; 60-78 lbs 390.00.

   Holstein Heifer Calves: Number 1  80-115 lbs 370.00-430.00. Number 2  115-
125 lbs 260.00-275.00; 75-105 lbs 300.00-360.00. Utility/Non-tubing 75-105 lbs
200.00-260.00, few 290.00-310.00.
