   Compared to last Thursday's sale, Slaughter steers sold mostly 1.00-
2.00 higher. Slaughter Holsteins sold mostly steady to 1.00 higher.
Demand was good. Slaughter heifers sold 2.00-3.00 higher compared to a
very light test last week. Slaughter cows sold 1.00-2.00 higher with
very good demand. Cattle supplies included 506 slaughter steers;
92 heifers; 425 cows; 45 bulls; and 40 feeder calves. All prices per cwt.

   Slaughter Steers: High Choice and Prime 3-4  1300-1625 lbs 151.00-
156.50. Choice 2-3  1250-1650 lbs 147.50-150.50. Select 2-3 1225-1650
lbs 144.00-146.50.

   Slaughter Holsteins: High Choice and Prime 3-4  1350-1650 lbs

   Return to Farm Holstein Calves: Compared to last week Holstein bull
calves sold mostly 20.00-30.00 higher on very good demand. Heifers sold
mostly steady on good demand. Ag Market News LLC under the USDA-QSA-LMAR
program graded 452 head for Thursday's sale. All calves are sold by the
cwt. 

   Graded Holstein Bull Calves: Number 1  120-128 lbs 262.00; 90-118 lbs 
290.00-310.00. Number 2 112-128 lbs 267.00-277.00; 94-110 lbs 291.00-
305.00; 80-92 lbs 315.00-317.00. Number 3 90-130 lbs 230.00-250.00;
72-88 lbs 200.00-230.00. Utility 60-110 lbs 50.00-70.00.

   Holstein Heifer Calves: Number 1  80-105 lbs 280.00-340.00. Number 2
85-105 lbs 160.00-240.00. Non-Tubing/Utility 70-85 lbs 50.00-100.00.
