   Compared to Thursday's sale, Slaughter steers sold mostly
steady. Demand was good. Holstein steers sold 1.00-2.00 higher
on a light test. Heifers sold steady compared to a very light
test last week. Slaughter cows sold mostly 2.00-3.00 higher on
good demand. Cattle supplies included 247 slaughter steers;
103 heifers; 461 cows; 35 bulls; and 19 feeder calves. All
prices per cwt.

   Slaughter Steers: High Choice and Prime 3-4  1225-1600 lbs
132.00-135.00, mostly 132.00-133.50. Choice 2-3  1200-1600 lbs
127.00-131.50. Select 2-3 1050-1400 lbs 121.00-126.75. 

   Slaughter Holsteins: High Choice and Prime 3-4 1450-1600 lbs
121.00-123.00. Choice 2-3  1350-1550 lbs 114.00-117.50. Select
1-3 1250-1600 lbs 108.00-113.50.

   Slaughter Heifers: High Choice and Prime 3-4  1100-1350 lbs

   Return to Farm Holstein Calves: Compared to last Friday's sale;
Holstein Bull calves sold mostly steady. Demand was good. Heifers
traded 30.00-40.00 lower on a very light test. Demand was moderate.
Ag Market News LLC under the USDA-QSA-LMAR program graded 533 head
for Thursday's sale. All calves are sold by the cwt. 

   Graded Holstein Bull Calves:  Number 1  98-128 lbs 130.00-140.00;
92 lbs 120.00. Number 2  120-128 lbs 115.00; 88-118 lbs 120.00-128.00.
Number 3  90-130 lbs 75.00-105.00; 80-88 lbs 125.00-135.00; 72-78 lbs
65.00. Utility 90-110 lbs 50.00; 60-88 lbs 15.00-30.00.

   Holstein Heifers: Number 1  80-110 lbs 120.00-150.00. Number 2
90-110 lbs 105.00-110.00; 70-90 lbs 105.00-110.00. Utility/Non tubing
80-100 lbs 17.00-30.00.
