Feeder Cattle Weighted Average Report for 05/10/2016

 ****Lexington Tuesday's sale now held at Richmond yards due to 
fire that destroyed Lexington yards****

Compared to last Tuesday's sale steers under 700lbs steady, over 700lbs steady-3.00 higher 
with moderate to good demand. Feeder heifers sold steady with moderate demand. CME cattle 
futures have bounced back off recent lows giving a stronger tone in the market. 
Slaughter cows and bulls steady-2.00 higher.
 
1 replacement cattle, 37 slaughter cattle, and 415 feeder cattle. Today's 
supply included 53 percent that weighed over 600 lbs. 53 percent steers and
14 percent bull calves 0 percent Holstein Steers and 33 percent heifers 
of total recorded feeder supply. 32 head of slaughter cows with 85 percent
going to slaughter. 5 head of slaughter bulls with 100 percent going to 
slaughter.
