**Lexington Monday sale held at Mt. Sterling yards while new yards is under construction**

Compared to last Monday steer calves sold steady to 3.00 higher with good demand and heifer
calves sold 2.00 to 5.00 higher with very good demand for weaned 400-500 lbs. Yearlings sold 
weak in a light test.  Some farmer participation in the market today. Quality was good through
attractive.  Slaughter cows sold steady with moderate demand. Slaughter bulls sold 
5.00 to 7.00 higher with very good demand.

30 replacement cattle, 50 slaughter cattle, and 536 feeder cattle.  Today's supply included
26.3 percent that weighed over 600 lbs. 26.7 percent steers and 14.5 percent bull calves 
and 45.9 percent heifers. 41 slaughter cows with 76 percent going to slaughter.  09 head 
of slaughter bulls with 100 percent going to slaughter.
