****Lexington Monday cattle sales now conducted at Mt. Sterling sale barn due
to massive fire that destroyed Lexington sale barn on Sat. January 30. 
Tomorrow's Lexington Tues. sale will be held at Richmond sale barn****

Compared to last week steer and heifer calves sold mostly steady with light to moderate
demand.  Quality was average through good.  Yearlings limited comparison with last 
week's light test.  Slaughter cows and slaughter bulls sold 1.00 to 2.00 lower with 
moderate demand.  CME cattle futures down sharply by mid-day.

40 replacement cattle, 78 slaughter cattle, and 691 feeder cattle.  Today's supply 
included 39.6 percent that weighed over 600 lbs. 34 percent steers and 20.5 percent
bull calves 0 percent Holstein Steers and 31.4 percent heifers of total recorded
feeder supply. 69 head of slaughter cows with 96 percent going to slaughter.
09 head of slaughter bulls with 100 percent going to slaughter.
