 Feeder Cattle Weighted Average Report for 4/17/2017

 Receipts:  5,699     Week ago:   8,209    Year ago:  5,659

    *** Add Close Updating Receipts*** Compared to last week: Feeder steers and
 heifers are trading 2.00-5.00 higher.   Steer calves selling 4.00-5.00 higher
 and heifer calves 1.00 higher on limited offerings.  Demand  moderate to good.
 Quality mostly average.  Rain over the weekend and the Easter holiday has
 hampered livestock movement.  Recent rainfall followed by warmer temperatures
 has buyers eager and optimistic towards feeders that fit their grazing
 pastures.  Feeder supply included 60 percent Steers, 0 percent Holstein Steers,
 39 percent Heifers, and  1 percent Bulls. Feeder Supply over 600 lbs was 84
 percent.
