 Feeder Cattle Weighted Average Report for 4/3/2017

 Receipts:  6,500     Week ago:   6,104    Year ago:  6,736

    ***Close*** Compared to last week:  Feeder steers trading steady to 4.00
 lower with exception to 900-1000 lb steers bringing 1.00 higher.  Feeder
 heifers sold steady to 2.00 lower.  Steer and heifer calves 1.00-3.00 higher on
 a limited test.  Demand moderate.  Heavy weight feeders that require much less
 time in the yards continue to be in higher demand though. Much of the state
 received much needed moisture over the weekend making for muddy conditions in
 the lots .  Quality average to attractive.  Feeder supply included 63 percent
 Steers, 36 percent Heifers, and  1 percent Bulls. Feeder Supply over 600 lbs
 was 72 percent.
