Feeder Cattle Weighted Average Report for 06/01/2015

Actual Receipts: 7,610   Last Monday: Holiday   Year Ago Monday: 11,163

   Compared to two weeks ago:  Feeder steers and heifers traded mostly 1.00 to 
5.00 higher, with 900-950 lb steers up to 9.00 higher.  Steer and heifer calves 
mostly 2.00 to 8.00 higher on limited numbers, as the bulk of the supply weighed 
over 700 lbs.  Quality was mostly average to attractive.  The market was in line 
with the large advancements reported in the CME Feeder cattle contract last 
week.  Drier weather is finally in the forecast for June, as May closed out as 
the wettest month in Oklahoma history.  In Oklahoma City alone rainfall totaled 
19.48 inches for the month of May shattering the previous record for the wettest 
month of 14.66 inches in June 1989.  Supply included 79 percent over 600 lbs and 
36 percent heifers.
