Feeder Cattle Weighted Average Report for 06/02/2014

Actual Receipts: 11,163    Two Weeks Ago: 11,676    Year Ago Monday: 7,992

  Compared to two weeks ago:  Feeder steers and heifers are selling mostly 
1.00 to 3.00 higher, with the exception of steers weighing between 800-900 lbs 
which traded steady to 2.00 lower, and instances to 5.00 higher on 600-700 lbs 
heifers.  Steer and heifer calves 3.00 to 6.00 higher selling with very good 
demand.  Rain showers brought some much needed moisture to the state last week.  
The rain brought the statewide average to 3.15 inches for the month of May 
which is still 1.86 inches below normal.  Receipts this week totaled 77 
percent over 600 lbs and 37 percent heifers.
