Feeder Cattle Weighted Average Report for 09/09/2013

Actual Receipts:  7519   Last Monday:  7494   Yr Ago Monday:  9366

   Compared to two weeks ago: Feeder steers and heifers steady to 1.00
higher.  Steer and heifer calves mostly steady, except un-weaned or short
weaned calves 2.00-3.00 lower.  Demand good for most classes.  Weather is
unusually hot and dry for this time of the year.  This heat is 
diminishing demand for those young un-weaned calves.  Quality mostly 
average.  Weigh-ups average to full with more cattle in full conditions 
later in the day.  Receipts this week totaled 78 percent over 600 lbs and 
34 percent heifers.
