Feeder Cattle Weighted Average Report for 08/019/2013

Actual Receipts:  7592   Last Monday:  4980   Yr Ago Monday:  6174

   Compared to last week: Feeder steers 1.00-3.00 higher.  Feeder heifers 
steady to 1.00 higher.  No trend available for steer and heifer calves 
due to recent limited supplies but a much higher undertone noted on heavy 
offerings.  Demand is good to very good for all classes.  Recent rains 
over the last few weeks have kept pastures in good condition for this 
time of year and cattle going back to grass are very attractive to the 
buyers.  Receipts this week totaled 75 percent over 600 lbs and 32 
percent heifers.
