Feeder Cattle Weighted Average Report for 08/05/2013

Actual Receipts:  4827   Last Monday:  4606   Yr Ago Monday:  4811

   Compared to last week:  Feeder steers and heifers sold 1.00-3.00 
higher.   Demand very good for feeder cattle.  Steer and heifer calves 
not well tested but a higher undertone was noted.  Demand also very good 
for calves.  Quality mostly plain to average.  Hot temperatures of over 
100 degrees are expected for early in the week, with a cooling off period 
for Thursday and Friday.  Receipts this week totaled 84 percent over 
600 lbs and 46 percent heifers.
