Feeder Cattle Weighted Average Report for 01/29/2016

Receipts: 7,132        Last Week 2,935        Last Year 2,947              

   Compared to last week:  Feeder steers traded 2.00-4.00 lower on 
limited offerings.  Feeder heifers not well tested for current delivery.  
Demand moderate as the volatility in the market has created much 
uncertainty among both buyers and sellers.  Receipts this week consisted 
of 98 percent over 600 lbs and 44 percent heifers.  Unless otherwise 
stated prices are FOB weigh point with a 2-3 percent shrink or equivalent 
and with a 8-12 cent slide on calves and 4-8 cent slide on yearlings from 
base weights.  Current sales up to 14 days for delivery.
