Feeder Cattle Weighted Average Report for 01/15/2016

Receipts: 5,836        Last Week: 4,896        Last Year: 3,508

   Compared to last week:  Feeder steers sold 8.00 lower.  Feeder heifers
lightly tested with last week and few sales were 6.00 lower.  Demand
moderate at cattle futures continued to falter.  Cattle buyers and sellers
alike are nervous as the only direction seems to be lower.  Receipts this
week consisted of 95 percent over 600 lbs and 40 percent heifers.  Unless
otherwise stated prices are FOB weigh point with a 2-3 percent shrink or
equivalent and with a 8-12 cent slide on calves and 4-8 cent slide on
yearlings from base weights.  Current sales up to 14 days for delivery.
