Feeder Cattle Weighted Average Report for 11/23-30/2012
Confirmed: 4517 Last Week: 2064 Last Year: 7963
Compared to last week: No trend available for feeder steers and
heifers due
to limited comparable sales. Demand remains good for the limited numbers
of
feeder cattle. Weather still cool and dry and to add to it very windy.
Wheat pasture continue to stress due to the lack of moisture. Supply
this
week included 99 percent over 600 lbs and 29 percent heifers.
Unless otherwise stated prices are FOB weigh point with a 2-3 percent
shrink or equivalent and with a 5-10 cent slide on calves and 3-6 cent
slide on yearlings from base weights. Current sales up to 14 days for
delivery.
