Cow and Bull Auction Report for Tue 06/02/2015
Receipts: 825 Last Sale: 95 Last Year: 975
Receipts Monday: 7610
Compared to two weeks ago: Slaughter cows 3.00-7.00 lower, Breaker
cows up to 10.00 lower. Slaughter bulls 2.00-3.00 lower. Packer demand
moderate at best. Beef movement remains very slow on heavy supplies
after lackluster holiday beef sales. Cooler weather, along with
heavy rains thru much of the Midwest was much to blame. Demand remains
very good for cows returning to the country. A total of 356 cows and
bulls sold with 43 percent going to packers.
