SUMMARY OF 7 MISSISSIPPI CATTLE AUCTIONS HELD IN HATTIESBURG (897), 
FOREST (1,701), MERIDIAN (824), MACON (343), HOUSTON (277), 
WEST POINT (757), AND GRENADA (230) ON Mon Sep 2, 2019.

Receipts:     5,029          Last Week:     3,322        Year:    5,024

Compared to last Monday, slaughter cows sold steady and bulls sold 
3.00 to 6.00 higher. Feeder steers and heifers sold 2.00 to 5.00 lower. 
The supply included 12 percent slaughter cows and 22 percent 
pairs/replacements. The feeder supply included 59 percent 
steers and 41 percent heifers, with an estimated 12 percent of the 
feeder supply weighing over 600 lbs.
