SUMMARY OF 7 MISSISSIPPI CATTLE AUCTIONS HELD IN HATTIESBURG (585), 
FOREST (630), MERIDIAN (322), MACON (170), HOUSTON (88), 
WEST POINT (335), AND GRENADA (78) ON Mon Aug 19, 2019.

Receipts:     2,208          Last Week:     3,871        Year:    4,080

Compared to last Monday, slaughter cows and bulls sold steady. 
Feeder steers sold 3.00 to 8.00 higher and heifers sold 
2.00 to 5.00 higher. 
The supply included 13 percent slaughter cows and 15 percent 
pairs/replacements. The feeder supply included 59 percent 
steers and 41 percent heifers, with an estimated 9 percent of the 
feeder supply weighing over 600 lbs.
