SUMMARY OF 7 MISSISSIPPI CATTLE AUCTIONS HELD IN HATTIESBURG (626), 
FOREST (736), MERIDIAN (515), MACON (253), HOUSTON (336), 
WEST POINT (795), AND GRENADA (153) ON Mon Apr 1, 2019.

Receipts:     3,414          Last Week:     3,830        Year:    2,408

Compared to last Monday, slaughter cows sold 2.00 to 6.00 lower 
and bulls sold 1.00 to 4.00 lower. 
Feeder steers sold mostly steady few to 5.00 lower and 
heifers sold steady. 
The supply included 11 percent slaughter cows and 15 percent 
pairs/replacements. The feeder supply included 53 percent 
steers and 47 percent heifers, with an estimated 13 percent of the 
feeder supply weighing over 600 lbs.
